About the role

Sportradar works on building platforms and products that analyze and adapt sports data and content. Through our APIs, we work with many exciting partners, including ATP, NBA, TennisChannel, college sports, and many more companies that get the chance to create their own products powered by our data — and in this department, we work with streaming services combined with data.

As a developer at Sportradar, you will be part of a team working on sports streaming. The department in Trondheim consists of many engaged developers, ranging from experienced seniors to learning juniors — and you will work closely with your team and projects. Sportradar streams over 1,000 games every day, and everything is developed in Trondheim and Oslo! You will be involved in the entire process, from planning to streaming to PC and mobile.

The teams in Trondheim work with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, C++, and Golang, but are always open to testing new things. In this role, you will primarily work with JavaScript/React.

Work tasks

• Maintain and develop existing solutions in JavaScript
• Build new streaming products for our customers and partners
• Help build complete streaming solutions from arena to end-user
• Work closely with the product team to design and implement new functionality
• Contribute to team and company development

We are looking for

• Has relevant education and ideally personal projects to showcase
• Has experience with JavaScript/React
• Has good communication skills in English
• Is a curious developer motivated to learn It’s important that you have a passionate interest in IT and programming, but equally important is who you are as a person. You are a team player who collaborates well with others but can also take responsibility for your tasks. You need to communicate well with your colleagues, as we are a distributed team across multiple countries. You are eager to learn and take on new tasks, and you are happy to take the initiative when you see things that can be done differently or when looking for new ideas.
