Scalar Energy is a cutting-edge energy trading firm specializing in power and gas trading, operational across 5 countries with plans for further expansion. Our primary focus is on the short-term energy market, and we're now seeking a passionate, hands-on Full Stack Developer to join our small, agile team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technologies in an industry that’s rapidly evolving, especially in renewable energy.

You'll be working directly with our CTO, our lead developer with over 10 years of experience in power trading. Already we have developed a robot to automate trading, and we're looking for someone who can help enhance its capabilities, streamline code and take our solutions to the next level. While energy market experience is not necessary, a passion for building efficient systems and solving complex problems is essential.

• Enhance backend processes using C#, .NET, and Blazor for UI elements.
• Collaborate with CTO to optimize and refine the existing trading robot.
• Develop trading tools in cooperation with the CTO to enter new markets and commodities.
• Adapt quickly to new tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where time-sensitive decisions are crucial.
• Work on high-volume, 24/7 trading tools to ensure smooth operations
• Take ownership of tasks and independently execute them while also thriving in a team setting.
• Help manage cloud deployments via Azure and explore advanced cloud solutions.

• Proficiency in C# and .NET and ability to write clean, robust and maintainable code.
• Passion for programming and learning new technologies with an interest in trading and market data, or even AI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to change. Curious and change-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with cloud management and deployment (Azure preferred).
• Experience with Blazor for user interfaces is a plus.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) and comfortable with english as the working language. .

Other: You will be permanently employed at Academic Work on assignment at Scalar Energy for an initial period of 6 months. Possibility of extension of assignment. Its preferable with an early start date, but Scalar Energy will wait for the right person if you have a notice period.
